Sick Sad World

What strange adventures life brings.

I have ceased working twelve hour days with two jobs. I quite stupid insurance claims processing and office temp work to end up as a videographer for some random wedding video business that is run out of a home in the suburbs of melbourne. I sit down for lunch with the family. Sit and eat strange things. There are two kids. One is a baby the other is two and a half. There is also a nanny who looks after them. The family is Turkish. I go to there house and I edit strange things. Banal wipes and dissolves. The pointless bells and whistles that scream, horror.

What is going on.
I have no idea.

Somehow I am meant to be writing a mini thesis.
Digital media, glitch, rhythm, syncopation, absence.
It all beings with quantisation.
No art wank.

Instead I buy motorcycle apparel.
For some reason I have ended up buying a bike. A suzuki RGV 250.
I am afraid I will kill myself. It's exciting. A romance with mortality.

I pick it up next week.

Another year has passed, it's always news to me.
Like a smack in the face.

The Honeymoon

So I've had all of my assessment and my sleeping pattern is fucked,
no thanks to the soccer that I choose to blame but infrequently watch.

Things turned out ok,
I just rewatched the documentation of the performance and it looked pretty good.
So I am glad.

It is nice to be glad, but the Honeymoon is over.

I have spent all my monies, I now eek out a meager existence on the dole in search of some kind of exciting employment. My degree will not be running next year. I don't know what this means. An earlier than expected return to Sydney, maybe, maybe not. Things need to be discussed. I at least want to escape with a PG Dip. I got my first tram fine last week. Ensnared by the Yarra tram authorities. Apparently the fines increment the more you get them starting from 150 and increasing 50 every subsequent fine. I have yet to receive mine in the mail.

The insanity ebbs a little more gently these days.

The slanted enchanted said andrew.

A world of excitement hangs just around the corner.
This excitement will predominantly come in the form of music.

I am in the possession of a ticket to DJ Shadow and Mos Def.
Tragically the tickets where $80 restricting me from going to other exciting things which will be happening oh so close together.

A summer of winter tunes.

A man cocks his head in puzzlement.
'what?'
Another nods with understanding.

A Death in the Family

My grandfather died..
It weird, the funeral is in half an hour
I will not be there.
I will be in Melbourne attending a job interview for the ABS.
Lift, count, statistics,
the DPC 1
15kgs, a computer test
I, the citizen. Temporary.

It's at 2:30,
the funeral is at 2:00

He will be buried in a modern hungarian cemetary,
I am not really close with my grand parents anymore.

Timecat

Strap a watch around a cats neck in place of a collar to give the cat the ability to control time.
Prognosis, playing too much Prince of Persia. However, a timecat is handy if you need to know the time, you just have to catch the kitty kat upon which you will be empowered with the knowledge of time.
Procrastinator.
I am now out of the station. It is over. Drannas took her watch back.
The network prevails.

August 29.
The day of structured action
has chaos above all things
very emotional
not overly social
very physical
likes drugs

huh...

Melbourne Vibes

So, Live Journal yar.

Melbourne has existed like this for the past month or so, but now it is set to change a little.
I have found somewhere to live, I shall no longer be a couch surfer. Amess St Carlton North.
This is all next week, but now is not next week.
Now is the couch surfer.
Now it's all about the station.
Station St, train crewing and kitty kats.
The kittens love me, Ava is jealous.

A social place, mid week party, perpetual weekend.
Goon, the red bladder, the blood of christ
scotch, whiskey, generally Canadian Club.

It gets a little crazy at times.
Rubber bands and welts on the stomach
man-gina, doom penis and general silliness.
Post Ding Dong, Post Rock, Post Melbourne.

Hook ups. Melbourne is all about hook ups.
Free booze, free entry, crazy kids.
It's cool man, I know this dude...

It is also bizarrely about myspace sluts
the likes of Matty P the myspace virgin joining the ranks
It's like Hi 5 but better? I refuse to go there but have ended up here.
Anna is writing her thesis on blogging.
Rock Geeks are cool now, you don't even need to be emo.
